My Story
Hi, I'm Kanchana Prabath Wimalasena, a passionate Software Engineering undergraduate at SLIIT, currently in my 3rd year, 2nd semester. With a background of strong interest in technology, I transitioned into software development, where I enjoy solving real-world problems through code.
I am currently seeking an internship opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to real-world projects. My goal is to become a full-stack developer, mastering both frontend and backend technologies while building scalable and impactful applications.
I believe in learning by doing, which is why I constantly work on projects to apply my knowledge. I enjoy breaking down complex problems and finding efficient solutions. I prefer hands-on learning through documentation, YouTube, and real-world projects.

UI/UX Engineering
I have a strong interest in UI/UX engineering, where I focus on creating visually appealing, intuitive, and user-friendly web applications. I enjoy designing seamless user experiences by combining frontend development skills with UX principles to enhance usability and accessibility. I believe that great design goes beyond aesthetics—it should improve functionality and engagement.
Game Development
My journey into coding began with Unity game development, where I learned C# and built interactive experiences. Through game development, I developed a strong foundation in programming, problem-solving, and logic. Over time, my focus shifted towards web app development, but I still have a keen interest in game development.
